A large European group with a prolific brand name in sportswear are seeking to appoint an accountant for their busy Middle East operations.

Job Description:

A demanding position that will be responsible for the financial functions of the gulf and Middle East, this role will report to the Director of finance and will be responsible for all financial activities of the business.

The main duties of this appointment will include, but are not limited to:

- Processing of Export and Vendor Invoices.
- Managing and maintaining petty Cash.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Expenses and travel reimbursement
- Managing budgeted expenses.
- Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger.
- Booking of fixed assets.
- Monthly reporting.
- Staff payroll.
- Comparison of budget versus actual and variance reporting.
- Reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
- Ensuring timely collection and payment of invoices.

This role requires a pro-active individual who is constantly aware of the commercial operation of the business, an individual that will not always need to refer to the MIS to provide answers.

An experienced SAP user you should have a minimum of 5 years finance experience within a fast moving FMCG, Retail or Logistics operation in the UAE.

Ideally professionally qualified or currently studying you will already hold a degree of autonomy within your current position.
