The Adecco Group Cluster Turkey and UAE 2021. We are pleased to announce Gaurav Pande as CEO for One Month 2021 for The Adecco Group Cluster Turkey and MENA. Gaurav will work alongside Adecco Middle East Country Head, Mayank Patel and senior business leaders in the cluster during the entire month of June to experience what it is to run a Fortune 500 company as a CEO.
This will be a one month internship, where Gaurav will compete alongside 40+ global CEO for One Month to secure the international title ‘Global CEO1Month 2021’ an opportunity to shadow The Adecco Group CEO, Alain Dehaze at The Adecco Group headquarters in Switzerland, Zurich.
Gaurav, aged 23 secured a full-ride scholarship to New York University Abu Dhabi, he then moved to the UAE for his undergraduate degree. Graduated in May 2021 with a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Finance. Gaurav has academic and professional internship experiences across the globe in multiple cities including Mumbai, Madrid, Zanzibar, New York, Washington DC, Kathmandu, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. He has worked in Finance and Business Strategy for companies across different industries such as Real Estate, Blockchain, and Entertainment.
When asked about his hobbies and passion, he says ‘I deeply care about socio-economic and environmental issues. I have recently been accepted as a Princeton in Africa Fellow and I will be working in Kampala, Uganda with an organization that invests and develops sustainable infrastructure in developing countries. I am also highly passionate about music and film. I play the guitar, sing, write songs, and was a part of a small musical band on campus. I also love traveling and making videos; I have recently started a YouTube channel to share my travel vlogs and documentaries’.
He was shortlisted as one of the top finalists at the local Bootcamp from among 3889 applications received in Turkey and UAE. After a series of online assessments, telephonic interviews, social media challenge and local Bootcamp, Gaurav made it to the top as our CEO for One Month 2021. When asked what does the CEO for One Month programme mean to you, he emphasizes on the term ‘ Transformative’.
We asked him to tell us one thing he looks forward to during the month of local CEO shadowing, he said ‘To experience being part of high-level executive meetings alongside the CEO, learn from such meetings, and hopefully contribute something new and meaningful’.
When asked the special quality/attitude/skill that he will bring to CEO for One month experience, he says ‘I will bring a positive learning mindset which means that I will stay curious, listen actively, and be highly proactive about learning from different departments to make the most of all the projects that I will undertake’.
