We are currently recruiting for the role of Director - Finance & Accounts with one of our esteemed clients in Kuwait, a leading provider in the cosmetics industry.
Job Purpose: Oversee and direct the Finance Division, ensuring effective implementation of financial strategies, policies, and processes to support COMPANY’s financial objectives and compliance with regulations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Formulation:
- Develop Division’s strategic objectives & KPIs aligned with COMPANY’s overall strategy.
- Monitor Division's operating results, implement measures for targeted objectives.
2. Budget & Cost Control:
- Develop the Division's annual budget, cascade to departments, and ensure adherence.
3. Policies & Processes:
- Develop Policies & Processes aligned with COMPANY’s standards and regulations.
4. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop plans for revenue, reconciliation, and collection.
- Direct internal and external financial reporting, ensuring compliance.
- Consolidate organizational budget, analyze variances.
- Develop COMPANY’s balance sheet and financial plans.
- Review performance reports, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
- Direct execution of financial transactions, payroll, and procurement plan.
- Implement protocols for asset registration and efficient cash management.
- Oversee tax documents, profitability, and stock-taking processes.
- Manage relationships with external parties.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Direct continuous improvement of Divisional operations.
6. People Management:
- Ensure manpower requirements are met.
- Conduct performance appraisals, oversee training & development.
- Delegate responsibilities to subordinates.
7. Reports:
- Review reports, maintain Top Management's awareness.
- Oversee consolidated financial reports.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's and Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CFA, CMA, or relevant certifications are advantageous.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years in the same or related field.
Behavioral Competencies:
- To be filled after finalizing the Behavioral Competency Dictionary.
Language Skills:
- Proficient in English and Arabic (verbal, written).
Communication & Working Relations:
Key Internal Contacts:
- All Functions within COMPANY.
Key External Contacts:
- Banks.
- External Auditors.
- Financial Consultants.
- Financial Institutions.
