Area Sales Manager


Find your next role with Adecco! We are currently recruiting for Area Sales Manager for our client, plumbing fixture company in UAE specializing in sales of bathroom fittings including bathrooms, sanitary ware, and showers.
The primary focus of the role is to enhance the distributor’s platform in accordance with company’s vision. The individual will have the responsibility of attaining sales, profits and collection targets within the assigned territory.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare quarterly and annual targets for the partners and distributors.
  • Design monthly and annual targets of the territory in liaison with the local sales force.
  • Lead the local sales force towards achievement of goals through motivation and development practices.
  • Organize pricing across the diverse channels and accounts to ensure profitability is always protected.
  • Keep a closer eye on the receivables, collection and the DSO of each account.
  • Implement the marketing plan in the territory in cooperation with the marketing department.
  • Issue a monthly business forecast and manage the deliverables with utmost effectiveness.
  • Expand sales channels to include healthy retail capacity, growing project coverage and a sustainable wholesale network.
  • Agree with the marketing department on the new product launch and make it visible at the local level through the distributors.
  • Monitor the progress of the new products in the market through meticulous performance management.
  • Ensure adequate training is provided to the distributors on new products, new technologies and new sales features in liaison with the marketing department.
  • Maintain a state-of-the-art presentation of the company’s products in the showrooms of the distributors in close coordination with the marketing department.
  • Connect to major contracting and sub-contracting firms in order to stay alerted on new projects’ allocation and similarly increase the capacity of the distributors to win the bids.
  • Show innovative capacity towards new routes to market in order to enhance the dynamics for larger sales revenue.
  • Maintain solid power push on the brand awareness across all market channels through partners, distributors and influencers in liaison with the marketing department.
  • Analyse sales performance and profitability continuously whilst making recommendations for successful progress with the line manager.
  • Evaluate Key Accounts fertile fields and acquire a new account or more on a periodic basis during the financial year through framework contract and revenue targets’ performance consistency.
  • Penetrate consultants, designers, planners, architects & developers network in an aim to maturing high level relationships.
  • Organize local training, seminars to distributors, architects/designers and consultants with the purpose of transferring knowledge at all times.
  • Participate actively in market surveys, trends’ examination and reporting competition activities.
  • Build annual budget / targets with the purpose of continuous market share growth across product categories and sales channels.
  • Allocate quality time to synchronize the efforts on the project management process in coordination with the CRM Unit in the company.
  • Represent the company at the highest level in the territory and showcase top class behavior at all times.
  • Audit continuously the local services by the distributors to the various customers in different sales channels whilst ensuring the company’s reputation and image are always reaching the highest level of expectations.

Education & Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing/commerce/engineering.
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience within a managerial level in sanitary wares field (Bathroom products: ceramics, mixers, etc.).
  • The regional responsibilities includes UAE & Oman. The candidate must have good track record in both the markets.
  • Understanding of GCC/ designated area trade and market demands is a critical success factor.
  • Should have experience in both B2B and B2C
