Our client, a semi-govt entity, which is listed in ADX is looking to hire Board & Company Secretary ( Emiratisation Initiative seeking Emirati talent in the UAE). Based in Abu Dhabi – UAE.
Responsibilities:
- Manage professional and personal scheduling for General Counsel, including agendas, email, phone calls, and other company logistics.
- Coordinate complex scheduling and calendar management, as well as content and flow of information to senior executives.
- Provide administrative and office support, such as Arabic/English translation (to a high professional standard) and maintenance of filing system and contacts database.
- Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials.
- Support the Company Secretary in ensuring corporate compliance across the Group.
- Provide support on a range of subjects including reviewing and executing company documents, forms, applications, resolutions and ancillary documents, in accordance with local formalities.
- Manage the relationship with external regulators, in particular, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (“ADX”), and the Securities and Commodities Authority (“SCA”).
Qualifications:
- A Chartered Secretary, a Graduate or Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute, with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE or 6+ years extensive experience in an administrative role reporting directly to upper management.
- Good knowledge of statutory obligations required by the ADX and SCA.
- Understanding of the regulatory onboarding process.
- Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges.
- Good organization and IT skills.
- Any legal experience a benefit.
- Experience of managing senior executives, their offices and processes.
- Attention to detail and analytical and communication skills.
- Familiar with using Board portals and Compliance software..
